Green Action Week 2026

Building on experience and feedback from previous years, the week will celebrate and highlight locally led events across departments, colleges, societies, Communities of Practice (CoPs), and more.  

This year’s theme is “The top 5 things to do for the environment”.  

To help you connect with one another and share resources more easily, we’ve set up a dedicated Green Action Week Teams channel. We encourage you to join the channel to list your event ideas, share materials, ask questions and support other organisers.  You can also find suggestions for events and templates in the files section of the channel.  

As we get closer to the date we will share University-wide communications before and during the week to promote Green Action Week as a whole, while inviting event organisers to lead the promotion of their own activities through their usual channels.   

As this will be our fourth Green Action Week, our community already has valuable experience to share.

While we understand that we can’t address all issues, this year’s theme is “The top 5 things to do for the environment" if you are a student, researcher, department or team.
