Make Do & Mend - visible mending workshop
Join the Bodleian’s Conservation team to learn the basics of creating decorative visible repairs on your favourite clothes. In the workshop we will focus on woven darning and needle felting techniques which work best on woven textiles, like socks and knitwear. Please come to the workshop with something to repair! Darning equipment and materials will be available but please do bring any spare yarn you have at home to reuse in your repairs. Tea and biscuits will be provided.

LEAF (Laboratory Efficiency Assessment Framework) is the world’s largest green lab programme, empowering researchers to implement sustainable practices. Join the over 70 Oxford labs working on LEAF. Wildlife photography walk
A guided photography walk with the Wildlife Photography and Film-making Society. Bring your camera or phone and go on a treasure hunt to see who can spot and capture images of certain wildlife. The list of things to photograph and the submission form for photos will be posted on the Facebook page.

Debate: is increasing consumption the key obstacle to achieving sustainability?
Time is running out on solving one of the world’s biggest problems – how to achieve environmental sustainability while looking after people and economic wellbeing. Oxfordshire Greentech and Cambridge Cleantech invite you to join a debate event as we aim to dive into the key obstacles to achieving sustainability.
The event brings together a raft of seasoned experts (including Coordinating Lead Author on the IPCC’s Special Report on 1.5 degrees, Professor Myles Allen and former Director of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research Professor Kevin Anderson) to debate whether they think increasing consumption is the key obstacle to achieving sustainability.
