Whether you are a continuing team with a wall full of past awards, brand new to the programme or returning after a break, we welcome you onboard.
Green Impact and LEAF are the primary schemes for staff and students to engage with the strategic goals of the University’s Environmental Sustainability Strategy.
The schemes provide a toolkit of effective actions staff and student teams can take to improve sustainability across the collegiate University. You can have a significant positive impact in your department, college, building or laboratory.
Green Impact
On its tenth year in Oxford, with over 180 teams participating throughout the years and thousands of positive actions, Green Impact returns with a new and improved online platform. The workbook (list of actions to choose from) aligns with the University’s Environmental Sustainability Strategy and offers easy navigation, plenty of choice and room for custom work/projects.
LEAF
The Laboratory Efficiency Assessment Framework (LEAF) is an innovative scheme driving improvements in laboratory efficiency and sustainable practice. LEAF recognises all the great things labs are already doing and provides a structure for identifying practical next steps. It covers equipment, space use, ventilation, procurement, waste, samples and chemicals. Exchange knowledge and best practice with a growing community of 150 Oxford teams committed to making lab work in Oxford more sustainable.
We need you!
You, the staff members and students know your buildings, departments, labs and colleges best, the potential for positive change and who needs to be involved to support this work!
Spending one hour a week, a small and dedicated team can drive enough impact to reach a Bronze Award in one year and improve from one year to the next.
There is so much to do and so many of us to do it, so let’s join forces and be part of the solution.
