Finalists in Green Gown Awards 2021
Since 2004, the Green Gown Awards have become the most prestigious recognition of best practice within tertiary education, recognising the exceptional sustainability initiatives undertaken by universities and colleges across the UK
The University of Oxford was chosen as a finalist in the Green Gown Awards last night for our work to integrate environmental sustainability into the New Ways of Working (NWW). The changes forced by the pandemic shed light on the potential benefits for environmental sustainability, wellbeing and equality. The judges were impressed by the NWW framework, which supports opportunities for greater flexibility in future working arrangements.
Additionally, Oxford’s Student Climate Society also received a highly commended award for their impressive work in student engagement.
